Aimed at the customers in the value segment looking for a sporty alternative, the XCD 135 DTS-Si have many first-in-class features like a 135cc DTS-Si engine, a 5 speed gear box, auto choke, gas filled Nitrox absorbers, digital speedometer and LED tail lamps. The bike is also less expensive when compared to its former model XCD 125cc. As far as the design is concerned, the bike looks may attracts a many as it is given a very different look compared to other Bajaj bikes. The engineers of the company tried to put more black colour in the machine, however, on the upper side of the female it has vibrant colours.The bike also got black matt alloy wheels which enhance the beauty. The twin pilot headlamp looks classy with a new and different treatment which is well supported by the cowl. The sharp indicator lights have a unique and aggressive shape that is rare in Indian bikes. The chrome finished tail lamp with LEDs inside doesn't impress so much.
The XCD 135 cc DTS-Si has been upgraded to look better than 100 and 125cc bikes. There are some very special graphics on petrol tank and the back rail has been made to look slimmer. Overall, we can say that the design of the machine is more or less same like the XCD 125. The Headlamp, Side-Panels, Tail Lamps have the reflection of Pulsars and the Discover. Though the build quality looks very good and feels like a well put together motorcycle. The switches are among the best in its segment and are pretty comprehensive. If we compare it to its precedors the XCD 125cc version, new Bajaj XCD 135cc DTS-Si bike is a little more powerful, with 10.2 PS of maximum power at 7500rpm and 11.58Nm of maximum torque at 5000rpm with a unique down type 5-speed gearbox. For a lower-end grunt the XCD has incorporated Bajaj’s patent ExhausTEC system. Nowadays the dashboard is comprised of some digital work like fuel gauge and speedometer. The competing bikes in the same segment have not this feature. The seats are wide and comfortable.

It has a wheel base of 1275mm and kerb weight is 116.50kgs. It has a ground clearance of 165mm. The machine comes with 4 stroke, air cooled, DTS-Si with displacement of 134.6cc. The engine has a support for single cylinder and the electrical specifications of are 12 volts, 35/35W and electronic ignition.The XCD 135cc develops 10bhp of peak power at 7500 rpm and generates a torque of 11.58Nm@5000rpm. The front suspensions in the bike include telescopic fork and the rear suspension includes 105mm gas filled telescopic Nitrox absorbers.Bajaj XCD 135cc DTS-Si has front 130mm drum and 130 mm brake at the rear. Bike picks up fast and in fifth gear it can go to speed of 80 kmph in some 10 second. Handling of 135 DTS-Si is easier because of the long wheelbase of 1275mm. It has the box type Diamond type chassis. The female has 5 speed gear box and the ExhausTEC system has been integrated to the machine to lower the noise.
Acceleration
The engine of new Bajaj XCD 135cc DTS-Si will help you reach the 8000-rpm mark quite smoothly that could be slightly below the red line. You can cover around 23 kmph in the fifth gear and around 18 kmph in the fourth gear. The fifth gear is a little extended making it easy for you to cross 80 kmph and you can glide around 0-60 kmph in seven seconds. The maximum speed is 98 kmph.Fuel Efficiency
The fuel tank is a bit small and can hold only 8 litres of fuel and reserve level is 1.5 litres. The DTS-Si technology adds to the power of the bike influencing a bit on the fuel efficiency as well as the mileage.
