The scooter scores over other scooters as it has more storage space under the seat than the previous scooters. The Aviator Deluxe has rather large wheels, as compared to other scooters and wheelbase is 1256mm. The triangular blinkers are positioned vertically on the two horizontal ends of the front. The part of the scooter under the riderâ€™s hips has a shape that appears to have been diagonally scooped. The upper part of the crease formed by the shape starts from the end of the footboard and runs across the rear of the scooter right till the end of the rear blinkers.
The Honda Aviator Deluxe is having a few extra stuff like alloy wheels and bigger wheels. Another thing which is unique to the scooter is its suspension. The new twin front suspension has also enhanced the ride quality significantly and better control characteristics. The Aviator shows great composure while taking high speed bends on roads. The stylish scooter develops 7bhp of peak power at 7000 rpm and generates a torque of 0.8kgm@5500rpm. The Aviator is started by kick and self start. The Aviator incorporated of a high quality telescopic front suspension & rear unit swing suspension setup that achieves smoother handling, lower vibration and more stable high-speed control.
This refined, tried and tested mill behaves in pretty much similar fashion in terms of noise, pick-up and fuel efficiency. The larger front wheel and improved suspension make for a smoother ride. The Honda Aviator Drum feels a little heavier than the other two existing scooterettes. The variomatic transmission from the other two scooterettes has been carried forward into the new Aviator Drum . Though the chassis of the Aviator is almost similar to the one found on the Activa i.e. high rigidiry under-bone type. The scooter sports a peculiar wheel configuration with different wheel sizes at front and rear. The rear wheel size is 10-inch and front wheel is of 12-inch.
As per the test by some users Aviator able to reach 60kph in 9.95 seconds. Top speed is a true 84kph.
