AppearanceHonda Motorcycle and scooters India has introduced Honda CBR 1000RR bike, which brings a new level of excitement on the Indian roads. The female has a style statement in itself. The Honda CBR1000RR is positioned against its adversaries stunning Yamaha YZF-R1 and also the Suzuki Hayabusa. The superbike, Honda CBR 1000RR, looks like a tiger waiting to chase its prey. The new CBR1000 RR comes with electronically controlled combined ABS technology and it is the USP of the super sports bike too.
The main features in the bike include a stubbier nose, a narrower body with turn signals integrated into the side mirrors, and twin ram-air intakes underneath the headlights. The CBR1000RR's tail portion is also cleaned up with a smaller, lighter seat and cowl. Cutting short the tail is basically meant for achieving lighter weight and for achieving what is called mass centralizing. For sure the change is to retain the MotoGP functionality aspects. Honda's parts and accessories now provides an eCushion saddle that promises to be more comfortable than gel saddles. The new superbike is available in colour schemes ranging from pearl white, black metallic to pearl siren blue. The colour scheme of orange and red are also available for the bold and the adventurous people. The low mounted exhaust position also makes some sense and it appears superb from rear and sides as well.
The new CBR1000 RR comes with electronically controlled combined ABS technology and anti lock breaking systems which made it different from its competitors. The dashboard comprises of speedometer, tripmeter, coolant temperature odometer. All the features in dashboard looks hi-fi with LCD display. Other features include LED tail light, slipper clutch, the ACG with oil jet hole for improved cooling and dual fuel injection system that is two injector per cylinder. Apart form these, there are trade mark technique of Honda itself like HESD tech (honda electronic stearing damper), HMAS tech ( Honda multi action system).
EngineThe stylish, sporty and macho bike Honda CBR 1000RR is equipped with the best of the technology whether it is braking, or engine capacity, suspension or comfortability. Let's have a look on the classic and powerful engine. The engineers of the company tried to make it a little lighter. This all-new engine, liquid cooled DOHC with 16 valves four stroke engine, is narrower and 5 lbs lighter, and displaces 999.8cc.
The inline-4's compression ratio is bumped to 12.3:1, and twin ram-air, revised cams and valves boost power. The overall height, length and width of Honda CBR 1000RR are 1133mm, 2023mm, 712mm respectively. It has a wheel base of 1415mm and kerb weight is 179.8 kgs. It has a ground clearance of 130mm. Honda CBR 1000RR comes with Liquid- cooled 4-Stroke 16-Value DOHC inline 4 with displacement of 999.8cc. The engine has a support for four cylinder and the Ignition System of CBR 1000RR is Computer–Controlled digital transistorized with electronic advance. The powerful engine develops 131KW of peak power at 12000 rpm and generates a torque of 112Nm@8000rpm. It has 6-speed constant mesh type transmission. The front suspensions in Honda CBR 1000RR include 43mm inverted HMAS cartridge-type telescopic fork with stepless preload, compression and rebound adjustment, 120mm cushion stroke and the rear suspension includes HMAS Unit Pro-Link single shock with spring preload, rebound and compression damping adjustability; 5.3 inches travel. So in this line of advance systems put in the bike, one of the best features which is included in this state of the art super sports female is the new Anti Brake System (ABS) which provides the bike increased balance against bad driving conditions and also incorporates both anti-lock and anti-pitch systems as the as it helps in managing the proportion of braking between the front and rear wheels to minimize weight-shift onto the front wheel and keep the rear wheel on the ground even under hard braking conditions.
The placement of the silencer below the engine adds to the machine’s compactness. The front wheel has a 320 mm dual hydraulic disc with 4-piston caliper and rear wheel has a 220mm disc with single-piston caliper. This feature is also the main thing which prove it a sporty and safe bike. The disc brakes are highly efficient and gives instant response. A new slipper clutch replaces the old hydraulic unit, and the Honda Electronic Steering Damper has been relocated and lightened for further mass centralization. A new MotoGP-derived Ignition Interrupt Control System is designed to sense driveline lash and reduce it by retarding ignition when necessary between 2,500 and 6,000 rpm, and throttle response is also smoothened by an Idle Air Control Valve.
