Appearance
The looking of the female is pretty good. The company provides it a better cosmetics. The 150cc bike gets tough competition from Bajaj Pulsar 150, Hero Honda CBZ-Xtreme, Hero Honda Achiever and SuzukiGS 150R.
The instrumental meter is totally analouge. That may also disappoint high-tech bike lovers who may want to have it due to its smooth engine. However, speedometer is placed at the middle of the board. There are three dials that includes tachometer, tripmeter, fuel gauge and low fuel indicator. Overall, the dashboard is a good feature. A very stunning 3D wing mark emblem is pasted at the fuel tank. This gives the bike the royal look. Black and red stripes are there in black and red body colour. The tail lamps follows the fashion statement from Dio. The winkers are stylish and up-to-date. One noteworthy feature is the head lamp flasher works even if the engine is OFF. Yes, the flasher uses the battery power. This is one feature that is not found in other bikes. Other than fuel tank, mask, mudguard and side panels, the bike is painted in black.
Engine
Honda Unicorn sports 4 stroke, air cooled OHC, single cylinder engine with the displacement of 149.1cc. This engine is proved to be the smoothest in the segment. However, the pick-up is not so good as compared to others in the class. The power mill produces a maximum power of 13.5 PS at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.8 Nm at 5500 rpm. It also helps the bike to produce more mileage. The engineers of the firm achieved the 12.8 Nm of torque even at 5500 rpm that is remarkable. The machine houses five speed gear box and it can be started in any gear. The beast comes with self and kick start options.
Acceleration
The top speed of the bike is 101 kmph, according to the company. It can easily reach 0-60 kmph in only five seconds. This acceleration uses to be the same in further speed measurements.
Fuel Efficiency
As far as the fuel efficiency is concerned, Honda Unicorn is quite ok. It gives around 57 kmpl in city while the company claims for 60 kmph. It possesses 13 litre fuel tank and 1.3 litres of reserve. Other bike in the class are also giving the same mileage figures. But yes, you can see a difference of around one or two Km per litre.
Colours
Honda Unicorn comes in pearl igneous black, space silver metallic, black with red graphics red with black graphics. The body colour is painted at fuel tank, front mudguard, doom and side/rear panels. Brakes
The power machine is equipped with front disc brake. The dimension of the disc brake is 240mm. The rear brake type is 130mm drum. Some complaints about the disc brake are already there in Honda Unicorn. The disc brake make some noise after completing a certain amount of Kms.
Suspension
Honda Unicorn sports advanced mono-suspension at rear side while front one is telescopic shock absorbers. The Honda Unicorn is the first bike which incorporates mono-suspension in India. And the difference of having the latest fork can be experienced after a drive on it.
Wheels and Tyres
The bike houses five spoke black alloy wheels. Honda Unicorn is also blessed with tuff-up tyres. These tuff-up tyres reduce the possibility of punctures. Honda used smaller tyres for a big bike that is to be improved for stability and grip on road.
Wheel Base and Controlling
The wheelbase is quite ok. This could be much more. Honda Unicorn's wheelbase is 1340mm. The tyre size is 2.75 x 18"(front), 3.00 X 18" mm (rear). Although, disc brake and mono-shock fork are enough to provide better control on bike. The Honda Unicorn gets weight on handler bar to for more butter-smooth riding.Comfortness
Sitting position is always used better. It comes with wider seat and comfortable riding position. Weight on handlebar meant for comfortable and smoother hold. The power mill is smoother and gear shifting is now more smooth. The bike can be started in any gear. The pillion also feels comfort as the seat is preety wider and flat. Grab rails provide good support to the pillion.

The dashboard is analouge that is a big disappointment in a bigger bike. The tyre size is not good enough. For the bike like this, rear tyre size should be a more larger that helps to provide stability and balance on road.
