Appearance
As far as the appearance is concerned, the TVS Jive scores over the TVS Star city. The fuel tank of the bike is much better than the latter. Tank shroud like design of the tank is superb and graphics at the tank enhance the super looks of the overall bike as well. In the same way, the front face of the bike is awesome. Front cowl's side panels are in body colour and front half mudguard is having the body colour as well. Apart from these, side panels and rear side panels are also looks stunning in body colour. However, the rear view mirrors and rear grab rails are in black shade which also add to the beauty of the female.
The instrument panel of the machine comes in two-dial pods. The big round shaped right side pod houses gear indicator, fuel gauge and speedo with ordinary indicators. The engineers of the company tried to house all the meters in a single pod that looks little congested.
The seat of the bike is wide and provide enough space for passenger too. The passenger's comfort is taken care by footrest, footpegs and rear grab rails. The wheels looks like a very sports bike with five-spoke black alloy wheels. The muffler of the bike is longer in shape and has the same size heat shield in sliver colour. The tail side is razor shaped and add to the style of the bike. The TVS logo is pasted at wind screen, fuel tank and tail side. The TVS Jive sticker has found its place at the rear side panel.

It also suggests that clutch lever will not be added to the handlebar. The gearbox of the bike will be imported from its Indonesian facility while the mill is developed at company's factory in Hosur, Karnataka. Brakes
The new bike of TVS Motor will have conventional drum type brakes. The drum brakes (110mm) are pretty enough for this kind of entry level bike. The same segment bike, Bajaj Discover 100cc is not loaded with disc brakes as well. However, one need to press foot brake and hand brake simultaneously when needs braking for better results.Suspension
The company uses conventional shock absorbers in the bike. The front one is telescopic one and the rear one is hydraulic fork with coaxial springs. Nevertheless, you need not to worry about the jerks and jolts on the road as the shockers are good enough to give you comfortable ride.
Wheels and Tyres
TVS Jive is equipped with stylish alloy wheels and more rubber on tyres. This time TVS used 18 inch alloy wheels in the new bike. The front and rear wheel size of the bike are: 2.75X18 and 3.00X18 respectively. The alloy wheels are in black shade and looks stunning in an entry-level like this one.
Wheel Base and Controlling
Wheelbase of the bike is pretty good and ensures better stability. The 1260mm of wheelbase is well supported by wide tyres. Standard braking system also helps the rider to control the bike in a better way.
Comfortness
The TVS Jive is the first Indian bike which has under seat storage for general items like water bottle, documents and a small umbrella. Standard brakes and suspensions are fitted to add to the comfort of the rider and passenger. Footpegs and passenger footrest are also there to give a comfy riding experience. Self and kick start option are there to provide you the option you want. Wider tyre and wheelbase promises better grip on road as well.

The bike is as comfortable as a gearless scooter due to absence of clutch and under seat storage. Looks are pretty decent with alloy wheels and attractive graphics.Cons
The brakes and suspension should be more effective as latest brakes and forks are being provided in the same bikes in the segment.TVS Jive models
