Appearance
Star City is a good-looking machine in its segment with pleasing dual tone appearance. The new bike replaced the clumsy-looking chrome metal mudguards with attractive modern plastic units. The tube metal grab handle is replaced by a dandy alloy bit. The silencer of the Star City is modified where in there is a new heat shield. Available in red, green, silver, blue & black colour. Stylish alloy wheels & sleek designed new exhaust . Magnesium alloys parts, stylish headlamp & parking light and equipped with ride switch. Power horse graphics and speedometer.The major improvements of Star City are the aerodynamic shape, front faring, new-age graphics, sporty silencer and Roller Cam Follower (RCF) technology for improved mileage. Star city comes with comprehensive switches that include a pass light switch and a push to cancel indicators. Other features include the tall TVS trademark mirrors, quality plastics and rubber parts, cool palm grips and decent control levers.

TVS Star city is a new 97.7cc CVTi engine with VTi technology A few important tweaks have been done to the 4-stroke and air-cooled 99.7cc single overhead camshaft-driven motor. The overall height, length and width of TVS Star City are 1058mm, 2002mm, 700mm respectively. It has a wheel base of 1250mm and kerb weight is 104kgs. It has a ground clearance of 165mm. Star City comes with air-cooled, 4-stroke OHC engine with displacement of 99.7 CC. The engine has a support for single cylinder and the electrical specifications of TVS Star City are 12 volts and digital CDI.TVS Star City develops 6.1KW of peak power at 7500 rpm and generates a torque of 8.1Nm@5000rpm. It has 4-speed constant mesh type transmission. The front suspensions in the female include telescopic hydraulic fork 110 mm and the rear suspension includes double acting shocker 78 mm stoke. The gearbox internals however, remain unchanged and all up gearshifts are smooth. Switch to a healthier exhaust note is another change made on the bike and the cable-controlled clutch enables the right level of progression and weight to a rider. The improved motor makes it to ride effortlessly from low speeds in high gears. t has fairly conventional suspension with a brace of telescopic front forks in the front and rear hydraulic twin shock absorbers.
Another improvement in Star City is braking and it also excels in the mileage. Even in heavy city traffic, stoplights and potholed road situations. The bright halogen-powered headlamp makes the night riding relaxed and effortless. Star City in fact is competent in its soft spoken and slick-shifting motor, plush suspension set-up and also fuel economy according to the review. This TVS deploys a fairly conventional suspension set-up, with a brace of telescopic front forks at front, and hydraulic twin shock absorbers at rear. As seen earlier on TVS bikes, the Star City also allows riders to adjust the rear shock absorbers via a convenient lever with no additional tools required for the job. It’s a bike that uses a decent size of rear rubber at 3.00 x 18 inches. Straight-line stability never posed us concerns on this city bike, while cornering ability feels just as good or as bad as any other 100cc motorcycle. Braking is another area the TVS Star City—along with most other 100cc Indian bikes—could surely improve upon. The main features are reliable front and rear brakes. Power economy indicator is a very much new feature which you would like most. The machine has 110 mm diameter drum brakes in the front and 130mm drum brakes in the rear. TVS Star City is also known to be the tidy handler on the roads just like other bikes from TVS and it offers decent handling traits and ride character within its segment.
Bike riders will find the bike in an upright and commuter-friendly posture. The rectangular section swing arm is another good thing that continues even in Star City. Riders of the Star City can adjust the rear shock absorber through a convenient lever and it doesn’t require additional tools.
