Appearance

New scooter in gearless segment is TVS Wego that has bolder look than its competitor such as Honda Activa, Suzuki Access, Mahindra Rodeo. The front view of the TVS Wego is more aggressive and appealing. The whole front area is painted in body colour. The scooter has eye-catching curves and fit and finish. As a trend, the headlamp cluster is located at handlebars while the front indicators along with pilot lamp are placed at front panel. The turn indicators are in big human eye shape but in vertical shape.

The headlamp case of TVS Wego houses multi-reflector halogen headlamp that provides clear view ahead in dark. The body colour handlebar casing has mounted rear view mirrors in black shade. Just behind the handlebar casing, conventional instrument panel is fitted which is in heart shape, its cool. The dashboard of TVS Wego has two dials and common indicators. The bigger dial at right side is an analogue speedometer and the smaller shape dial is there to show fuel status. Both the dials have red colour needles.

TVS Wego has an integrated lockable glove box in which you can keep bottles, documents, Cds, lunch box etc. It has a nice footboard area where bag like items can be kept. The TVS Wego has comfortable seat with bold stitching. A black colour rear grab rail is fitted for passenger's comfort. TVS Wego has not got graphics at anywhere. Sticker of Wego is pasted at the both side of panels.

TVS Wego has a big under seat storage space that can house a big size helmet. The most attractive feature of the vehicle is its under seat combo charger that charges a mobile phone and the scooter battery. The battery is maintenance free as well. The fuel tank lid is located just behind the seat or rear grab rail. It allows the rider to re-fill petrol tank without getting off the scooter. However, you need to use the same key for opening the fuel tank lid which is used to open the seat also. That means in any condition, you have to get down the vehicle. TVS Wego comes with LED tail lamp with optical guides. The tail lamp cluster also houses rear turn indicators. The silencer of the TVS Wego is in all black shade along with its heat shield that add to its sporty image.

Engine

The TVS Wego has been loaded with a 110 cc of engine that produces a top power of 8 bhp at 7500 rpm and generates a peak torque of 8 Nm at 5,500 rpm. TVS Wego incorporates a V-matic transmission and self start as well.

Powered by a noise-free, all-aluminum, low-friction engine that has been developed by employing cutting edge technology including tailor made simulation models and frequency response analysis techniques, TVS Wego delivers high performance ride quality and superior ride comfort. This innovative engine also ensure greater mileage.

Acceleration

The TVS Wego is assembled with a powerful 110cc of engine which delivers a top power of 8 PS at 7500 rpm and develops a maximum torque of 8 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Automatic gear system of the scooter make sure superb riding experience in lower and higher rev.

It takes around 10.30 seconds to reach 0-60 kmph sprint that is not a class leading figure but satisfy the need of city riding.

Fuel Efficiency

TVS Wego comes loaded with a powerful engine that is air cooled. The displacement of the engine is 110cc. This powertrain belts out a maximum power of 8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a top torque output of 8 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

The TVS Wego is gifted with a 5 litres' fuel tank. It has external fuel filling with hing cap that is claimed to allow the rider re-filling tank without getting off the vehicle. You can expect a mileage of around 40 kmpl from this machine.

Colours

TVS Wego comes in five attractive shades. The body hues are cappuccino brown, golden beige, silver, black and dark blue. The body colour is painted at all metal panels including front fender except rear view mirrors and rear grab rail.

The footboard of the TVS Wego has black matting. The scooter model name sticker is in pearl white in each body colour. The silencer is having black treatment. Silver colour alloy wheels enhances the look of the TVS Wego.

Brakes

The new offering of the TVS Motors, TVS Wego, has been loaded with standard drum type brakes at both end. Both brakes of TVS Wego are dia 130mm.

The braking system is not that much efficient but for short distance and city riding, it do their duty without error. If you require hard braking, you should use both brakes at the same time.

Suspension

The suspension system of the TVS Wego deserve special mentioning. The TVS Wego has the best suspension system in the class. Front fork is in-line telescopic one while the rear one is unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper.

The rear gas filled suspension not only promises silky riding but supports to rigidity to the frame also that results in excellent balance when riding. Leading scooters in the segment has only standard suspension system.

Wheels and Tyres

TVS Wego has another distinctive feature which claims it to be the best in the class. This is its 12 inch alloy wheels. The five spoke 12 inch alloy wheels not only add to the beauty of the two-wheeler but ensure less fuel consumption.

Even the best selling scooters in the segment have 10 inch alloy wheels. Alloy wheels are lighter than conventional multi-spoke rims. The front and rear tyre specifications of TVS Wego are 90/90-12 each.

Wheel Base and Controlling

TVS Wego is having a wheelbase of 1275mm that is again remarkable feature. Even the Honda Activa has a wheelbase of 1238mm. It is to be mentioned that the higher the wheelbase, the greater the stability. Higher wheelbase also ensure better handling and control.

One another unique feature of TVS Wego is its Body Balance technology that allows lower steering effort, better control and maneuverability through optimum vehicle mass and mass distribution, making it the best scooter to handle in city traffic.

Comfortness

Gearless scooters generally come with plenty of storage space and it is also ensured in TVS Wego. It has a pretty big storage area in the form of lockable glove box and under seat storage box. In the later storage area, you can put larger size helmet or bottles, lunch box etc. You can also use its footboard area for carrying grocery bags like items.

TVS Wego is blessed with under seat combo charger which not only charge the vehicle battery but charge a mobile phone also. Self start facility is there for riders especially for women and old age riders. The seat of TVS Wego is wider and longer that makes sure ultimate comfort for rider and passenger. The passenger can also use grab rail for safety.

Pros

There are a number of class-leading features in the TVS Wego including 12 inch alloy wheels, combo charger, rear gas-filled fork, external fuel tank lid and LED tail lamp.

Cons

External fuel fill is a bit uncomfortable as the rider needs to bent backside to get fuel.
