Yamaha Fazer is designed so well that everyone wants to look it again and again. The eye-catcher is a perfect blend of style and performance. The engineering masterpiece designed in a manner to grab the attention of bike enthusiasts. From front to rear, it resembles uniqueness. Digital LCD dashboard is the feature which is sure to attract gen next. The dashboard incorporates digital speedometer, tripmeter, tachometer, odometer and fuel gauge. High beam, neutral, turn indicators are placed side by side. The console shines with green, red, blue and orange backlights. Front cowl houses the multi-reflector headlamp. The huge double headlamps, give better visibility at night. Turn indicator light is placed below the handle and forks. This is something new for the sports bike. The tank is massive and the tank-lid is placed right on the middle of it. Noted that it is bigger than Yamaha FZ-16. This size gives it a devil shape. nevertheless, it's kerb weight is 141kg. Appealing bike name logo is place at the side of the tank. Let's see the rear side beauty of the female. Rear portion is designed in the right proportion. Side panels, rear grab bar, rear cowl, footrest have unique designs. The muffler is altogether sheer innovations of the engineers at the company. The two layer mid-shape muffler exhaust is covered with heat shield. It is said that its first of its kind in India in the segment. The beast is provided with folding foot-pegs that fold theirself when touch the ground or occupy less space at standing mode. The plastic components are more cheaper than other bikes in the country.
Engine
Look at the specifications of the powertrain. This is fitted with air cooled, 4 stroke, SHOC, 2 valve engine with 153cc of displacement that produces maximum power of 14 ps at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 14 NM at 6000 rpm. The engine specifications has enough to claim it the best in the 150cc segment. Yamaha Fazer now have upgraded transmission of return type 5 speed.The 5 speed gear box is provided with constant mesh wet multiple. As far as the dimension of the motorbike, minimum ground clearance is 160mm and length, width, height ratio is 1975,770 and 1045 mm respectively. The machine can pounce with a gentle push as it has electric start facility.The kerb weight is 141 kg while dry weight is 130 kg. In this machine vibration levels are not a concern as self lubricant chain addresses the issue.
Acceleration
The Yamaha Fazer leads the list of 150cc bikes when compared to acceleration. The machine can achieve 0-60 km in just 5.6 seconds that is really a mere show of its strength. Pick-up is the best at any speed. Vibration level is hard to find specially on long ride. You can check it even at 5th gear. The top speed is claimed 114 km, cool. The change of colour is seen only on front mudguard and tank. In all three colours, you will see black and white treatment.
Fuel Efficiency

Brakes
The 153cc sports material is loaded with front disc brakes in eye-catching round shape. The hydraulic single disc 267mm brakes ensure better safety. However, rear brakes contain drum type technology. But we have to say that if disc brakes had been equipped at rear, the bike would have deadly sports look and control as well.Suspension
This sports bike comes with a lot of international features. Among them suspension is one that attracts for sure. The rear suspension loaded with monocross suspension which is generally available in high-end racing bikes. One can adjust this monocross type suspension for seven times as required. The front suspension is telescopic only.
Wheels and Tyres
The sports bike posses five-spoke black alloy wheels. Having alloy wheels has become a tradition in the segment. Even in the lower segment, this is much demanded. Needless to say that alloy wheels in black, enhance the looking of such a sports bike. The wide tubeless tyres are another special features of the machine. Yamaha claimed that the 140/60-17 redial tyres' are the first in India. The tyres supposed to give solid control and grip on even bumpy roads.
Wheel Base and Controlling
This big machine has big wheel base measuring 1335mm. Large wheel base is, no doubt, ensure safety by avoiding skidding and provides better grip on even slippery roads. Yamaha claimed that the 140/60-17 redial tyres' are the first in India. The tyres supposed to give solid control and grip on even bumpy roads. Comfortness
The company claimed to change the sitting arrangements. The new seat design is provided to give comfortable riding positing even at long drive. Handle bars is fitted in comfortable position. The bike houses only self start option that is also added feature in the bike for riders comfortability. These sports bikes specially produced to woo young commuters. That also means that pillion rider may feel some unrest due to unavailability of back rest and foot rest, however, foot-pegs are there.
