Appearance
We can say that the new Yamaha G5 is the perfect blend of beauty and performance. Every part of the bike is placed in a manner to look perfect whether it is side panel, seat, tail lamp, headlamp, rear mirror or silencer. In other words, this is the perfect looking bike. Five-spoke alloy wheels are part and parcel of the looks. The headlamp is v-shaped. This shape is felt all around the bike from front to rear. Well furnished cowl is there on headlamp. New shape indicators are another beauty stuff in the female. Coming to the console, it incorporated fuel gauge and speedometer in analogue format. Stylish and eye-catching graphics are there at side panels and fuel tank. The emblem of the company is placed at tank. The tank is designed to give required comfort for the rider's knee. Backrest may be added feature but for the sake of looking it is omitted but rear grab rail . However, footrest and foot-pegs are there for the pillion. Silencer, side-mirror, rear cowl attract in black.
Engine
The Yamaha G5 alloy machine is known for style and speed. This bike is no exception. The powertrain of the bike is enabled to develop more power and torque. The machine boasts Air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve engine with displacement of 106cc. The bike houses a new technology that is called Air Induction system (AIS) that helps the engine to perform better and reduce gas emissions. The powertrain is well supported with single cylinder. Which produces maximum power of 7.6 PS at 7,500rpm and maximum torque of 7.85N.m at 6,000rpm. The power and torque is one of the best in the segment. Transmission type is advanced with four steps of regular engagement formula. Clutch is smooth with multiple disc. The ground clearance is much better i.e. 160mm. The female's frame is supported by the tubular dual cradle type and it comes with the tubular swing arm.
Acceleration
The machine takes only 12.15 seconds to speed up from 0-60 kmph. The top speed is claimed 95 kmph but practically one can achieve a top speed of 75 kmph.Fuel Efficiency
The machine's full fuel tank capacity is 13 litres and 1.1 litres of reserve. According to test figures, one can have a standard mileage of 55kmpl in city conditions. The mileage shall increase upto 62 on highways.

Brakes
Yamaha G5 is equipped with drum brakes at both the tyres. The brakes are the surity of satisfactory control over the bike.Suspension
The front suspension of the bike is telescopic shock absorbers and the rear one is fitted with gas-filled shockers and coil spring at the rear. The suspension is the largest in the segment with the specification of 120mm which ensures more stability and better grip on roads.Wheels and Tyres

Wheel Base and Controlling
The bike is provided with a longer wheelbase i.e. 1300Mm that places the bike at the top in the 100cc segment. The longer wheelbase is responsible for better grip on road and ensure safety in all weathers.Comfortness
The 100cc bike's are supposed to provide better sitting for both rider and pillion. This is also found in the Yamaha G5 as the seat is wide. Footrest, rear grab rail and foot-pegs allow the pillion to sit comfortably and with no fear of falling on rider. Rear seat is not mounted too high to sit with ease. In the same way, the rider feels smooth riding and sitting. Rider seat is also wide and the knee recess is not an issue as enough space for knee rest. Controlling is much easier and handy as the bike allows the rider easy approach to gear, clutch, brakes and throttle.
