The Yamaha YZF R125 was launched in the year 2008 at first time in overseas market and received awesome response there. This flagship model of Yamaha has various common features of Yamaha's R series bikes. However, time and again, Yamaha R125 has been upgraded but still it has resemblance of R series. The lower front side, dual headlamps, sharp and short tail side and full fairing are a few things which comes directly from elder brothers of Yamaha R series bikes. The front face of the baby has aggressive design which is comprised of dual headlamps and sharp nose. The mask has large transparent windshield. Rear view mirrors are mask mounted that add to the class looking of the machine. The front mudguard is painted completely in body colour. As identical with R series bikes, Yamaha R125 comes with full fairing which hides engine department. The larger airscoops has mounted leaf sized front turn indicators. The handlebars are mounted on front fork and has been leveled to fuel tank. The dashboard of the bike is having a round dial and a rectangular box that house speedometer, tripmeter, fuel gauge, tachometer, low fuel and low oil indicators. The Yamaha R125 has step-up seats arrangement. The rider seat is compact and comfy while the pillion seat is longer and mounted on rear side panels. To support both the riders, foot pegs are fitted at lower height. Rear side view of the bike is eye-catching with compact tail light and fender. A small rear fender over rear tyre is give that enhance the sporty look of the baby. Whereas the chain is fitted with upper cover and left naked at lower side. Yamaha YZF R125 comes equipped with a compact 124.6cc engine which is comprised of 4 stroke, single cylinder, four valve, SOHC, liquid cooled and fuel injected. This multi-tech loaded mill is capable of producing 15 PS of peak power at 9,000 rpm and churns 12.2 Nm of top torque at 8,000 rpm. The same technology is used for developing Yamaha R125 engine and it also matches to the performance. Compact fuel injection system enhance fuel economy and efficiency. The engine is comprised of 6 speed transmission that cleverly uses power and torque. The bike is loaded with both disc brakes and rear monocross suspension. This compact but powerful mill produces a peak power of 15 PS at 9,000 rpm and generates a top torque of 12.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It is coupled with six-speed gearbox. The Yamaha YZF R125 has got latest braking system at both end which is responsible for instant halting. The front brake is Brembo two-piston sliding caliper, 292mm disc and rear one is Single-piston caliper, 230mm disc. Along with latest braking system, the Yamaha YZF R125 is fitted with finest forks at both sides. The front fork is telescopic type with wheel travel of 130mm.
