It is a nice low fat alternative to the restaurant style Sesame Chicken.
Ingredients for Sesame Soya Chicken:
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2-1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2-1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soya sauce
- 1/2 cup water
Method to prepare Sesame Soya Chicken:
- Cut chicken breast into 1 inch strips.
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken for about 6 minutes until it turns pink in colour.
- Mix honey, soya sauce, water, corn starch, ginger and red pepper flakes well.
- Beat until no corn starch lumps appear.
- Pour sauce mixture into a bowl with chicken. Cook sauce until it thickens.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Cover and simmer for 10 min. until chicken starts to soak up the sauce.
