A dark, extremely rich chocolate layer cake with dark chocolate icing is an excellent recipe for Birthdays and anniversaries.
Ingredients for Chocolate Cake:
- 1 pkg Dark chocolate devil's food cake mix
- 1 pkg Instant chocolate pudding
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 1/2 cup Cooking oil
- 1/2 cup Warm water
- 4 Eggs
- 1 1/2 cups Semi sweet chocolate chips
Method to prepare Chocolate Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350 degree F, grease and flour the pan.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except chocolate chips. Beat for 4 minutes. Fold in chocolate chips. Bake in prepared pan until cake tests are done. Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes; turn out on serving plate to complete cooling.
- Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
- Serve with ice cream.
