Prefer branded cosmetics 

Whenever it comes to buying cosmetics, most of us opt for the local beauty products. The point behind this selection is the money factor. The local beauty products come with cheap price tags while the branded beauty products or the cosmetics are comparatively  expensive. But the women who are conscious about their looks should understand that the branded cosmetics provide you a sort of guarantee. That is why you should always go for the branded ones. The local beauty products can make a harm to your beautiful face and skin. Though I understand that the branded products are a little expensive but still they are better to use. Remember that money can come back but the harms you get through these products will never return your skin quality back.

  

Choose cosmetics that suit you 

Whenever  you go to by the cosmetics, always select those cosmetics which suit you. For example  if you have a fair complexion,  you should try lipstics of darker shade and brighter colour. Similarly those having dark complession should try lipstics with light shades. Likewise while selecting the foundation, keep your skin tone in mind. For example if you have a very dark skin do not use  foundation with a very light tone.  

  

Check the ingredients of your cosmetics   

A good way to select your cosmetics is to check the ingredients of your cosmetics. See if those ingredients are meant for you. Also check that those ingredients have got a good effect upon your skin or face. If you want to find out all the ingredients of a cosmetic, then do check the whole container. It will tell you everything about the ingredients. You may also check the ingredients for  an "active ingredient." Here we would like to tell you that the active ingredient is that chemical which makes the product effective, and the manufacturer must have the proof that it's safe for its intended use. It is necessary for all manufacturers to list the ingredients.

  

Check cosmetics according to your skin 

Another important  point while selecting any cosmetic is that you should know about its reaction on your skin. Some of the cosmetics may contain the ingredients which may create an allergy to your skin. For checking whether the cosmetic is allergic to you or not, you may do a sensitivity test. For this test, you just put a drop of cosmetic under your elbow or behind your ear. Now wait for 15 minutes. If some allergy or reaction takes place, that means that particular cosmetic is not right for you. If nothing happens then it is safe to use that beauty product.

  

Go for fresh cosmetics 

It is very necessary to use fresh cosmetics. You should never use any cosmetic with expiry date. Every cosmetic that you use should be fresh and in good condition. Always check the cosmetics for their expiry date. If any cosmetic is expired then do not use it as it may put a permanent harm to your skin.

  

Replace your cosmetics 

If you find that your cosmetics are expired or if you are not using them due to their allergic behavior then do replace the cosmetics. Even if your cosmetics have not achieved that expiry date but if it’s been one year  then also do not use your cosmetics, just replace them after every one year.

  

Choose cosmetics according to weather 

Go for cosmetics that are meant for the monsoon season, if it is monsoon. Else the other cosmetics will lose their effect in sometime. The monsoon showers may also wash away the make up from your face.

  

Cosmetics for removal of make up 

Do not buy cosmetics only for the make up purpose. Also buy some products that are used for removing make up. Else you will remove your make up in a harsh manner and that will harm your skin.

  

Clean your skin after the removal of cosmetics 

Once you come back from your party or some function, just remove the make up and keep your skin fresh and healthy. Our skin too needs to breathe.

  

Avoid the regular use of cosmetics 

Try to avoid the use of cosmetics sometimes. Do not make it a habit to use the cosmetics regularly.
