Check your mattress
Mattresses play a very important role in our sleep. Just ask yourself that have you ever checked that whether your mattress is comfortable or not. Most of us blindly believe that our bed is already comfortable and it is just ready for sleeping. But no, check twice. Are you making some mistake? Sit on this mattress or lie down for 5-6 minutes and just try to analyse how you feel ? if you feel comfortable than it is fine but if you feel some uneasiness than it’s time to change your mattress. As I said earlier ,there are very few people who check quality in this regard. So make sure that your mattress is comfortable. Even if you find an expensive but comfortable mattress then always remember that cost is always a secondary thing when it comes to our health.
Check your sheets
Good quality linen is helpful in good sleep. It does not only induce sleep but it maintains the comfort for the whole night. Again, it may be expensive but remember the fact that we humans spend one third of our lives in bed. Also keep the weather in mind when you decide on your sheets. Cotton sheets can be used in any weather but the silk sheets are good only for the decorative purposes. So avoid silk sheets on your bed, especially in summers. Also choose light colours for sheets in summers and dark colours in winters. The sheets made of natural fibres are good as they absorb the moisture that our body excretes. On the other hand synthetic ones just do the opposite.
Check your pillows
We are often dependent on pillows and cushions when we are tired. We just keep them in our lap while watching TV or we just put our head on them to fee more comfy. When we go to sleep we need the pillows or cushions according to our own needs. Some people love small pillows while others feel more relaxed with the big ones. Some people like very thick pillows while the others prefer flat. Even I would suggest that you should use a flat pillow as it is good for your health. You may also opt for a medium sized pillow. But the extra thick pillows will be bad for your health. And if you are conscious about your looks, then lemme tell you that the sleeping regularly on the thick pillows and cushions will give you a double-chin. And am sure that you do not want one! Right? So get your flat pillow today. Cover it with your favourite coloured pillow cover and make it cute and keep it fresh.
When we go to sleep we should also check that our room is quiet and peaceful. If there are any kinds of noises, we may feel disturbed. Sometimes even the creaking doors and the tripping water makes us restless. So before you go to sleep check all your doors that whether they are closed properly. Check the same for windows. Let a door or window remain open so that there can be a proper ventilation in your sleeping room. But again check them for any disturbing sound. Sometimes if you are unable to control any sound then you may just overlap it with another soothing sound. For example, you may play some soft music.
Buy good bedsheets
Bedsheets do not only save us from cold or mosquitoes but they also provide us a certain security level. And when we feel secured, we feel satisfied and when we are satisfied , we feel relaxed and sleep easily. Even in summers you may cover yourself with simple and thin cotton bedsheets which will make you feel more secured and comfortable.
Take a good shower
If it is summers and you are unable to sleep at night then try to take a bath. This bath will relax you. It will bring down your body temperature and will also relax you. Taking shower also diverts us from our tensions for at least some time.
Forget all your problems
The final but the most important trick is to forget every problem of yours when you go to sleep.
