* If the backyard gives precedence to the wildlife, consideration must be given to their food and shelter.
* If you want to grow a vegetable garden then you do not need a very big area. What you actually need is good soil, lot of sunshine and water along with a fence to protect the vegetables. Use of proper fertilisers in a proper quantity is a must for such gardens.
* One must also give a proper thought to the quality of bricks while thinking of patios and flooring. This quality of bricks may have relevant effects on your flowers and plants.
* While choosing the backyard furniture for your garden do not just rush into the decision. As the acceptable garden furnishings provide an aesthetic value to the whole garden so take your time and decide on suitable things.
* If you have a comparatively big garden then make sure that the paths and paved areas are clearly visible. Sometimes the overgrowth of grass or other plants may shade these areas which may be risky for the kids who often play in such areas.
