HCL's UltraSmart ME Series 3074 Ultrabook lands in India

In this tech-crazed month, it is now HCL's turn to play its card, and they did it quite right. HCL launched its first UltraSmart ME ultrabook in India, finally! The company claims that the UltraSmart ME Series 3074 is one of the first devices to be launched in India that is powered by a third generation Intel Core i3 processor. Packing in Intel's latest Ivy Bridge processors, the ultrabook sports a 14-inch WXGA LED backlit display that offers a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. Its 18mm thickness is complemented by its sleek metal grey design. Other than the Ivy Bridge processors, the HCL UltraSmart ME Series 3074 also brags of a hybrid combo of 32GB SSD and 500GB HDD along with a 4GB DDR3 RAM that can be upgraded to 8GB DDR3. The company has spruced up the ultrabook with an array of connectivity options that include two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, an HDMI port, and a built-in multi-gesture touchpad.

Furthermore, it also features a 1.3-megapixel web camera. The device is also loaded with an advanced 2x2 watt sound system and an integrated graphics solution sans a dedicated GPU. The base variant comes with a price tag of Rs 51, 990. But the users can go in for 8GB RAM and i5/ i7 processors with hard disk capacity upto 750GB. HCL is also offering a 128GB SSD version that will cost Rs 54, 990. The HCL UltraSmart ME Series 3074 is available for pre-booking at HCL's retail partners, brand stores, and also at the company's e-store.
